Local area

Our school is situated on the edge of Shustoke Village, surrounded by open countryside. We are privileged to be encircled by beautiful scenery and places of historical interest including the churches of St. Cuthberts (Shustoke), St. Giles (Nether Whitacre), and St. Michael and All Angels (Maxtoke). Aspects of the local area are built into the history and geography curriculum.
The school was built just over 30 years ago, and was extended in 1994, and 2001 to accommodate increasing pupil numbers and new technology. We are fortunate enough to have extensive grounds including a large field, playgrounds and gardens designed and planted by the children. In recent years, the children have developed their own allotment. This is used as a resource for science and environmental projects; and some classes have used the allotment to support other curriculum areas such as maths and art.

Below is a map to show the location of the school and some photos of then local area.
